Leslie Tripathy Biography

Leslie Tripathy is a Bollywood film actress, and she is a model too. She also appears in music videos. She marked her screen debut with 2014 Bollywood revenge drama, W, where she played one among the three female leads. The rest two roles were played by Leeza Mangaldas and Sonal Giani. However the movie scripted by musician Daboo Malik failed to get favourable reviews from critics and was a box office failure. She has now moved to south Indian film industry and later appeared in Chusinodiki Chusinantha – Telugu movie released in 2014 and Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai – Tamil movie released in 2016.

She hails from Kendrapada, Odisha. Her father is a professor in English literature, Dr. Sailendra Narayan Tripathy and her mother Ashoka Tripathy, too is a lecturer in English. Her younger brother is a model and has appeared in films. His name is Shakespeare King. Leslie completed her graduation in journalism from Chennai. She remained a woman activist during her college days, and used to write articles. She got her first break in acting through Oriya films and a few music videos, before getting her first Bollywood role.

She has also appeared in TV serials before joining cinema. During her modelling days at college, she was stalked by Raja Acharya in 2008 and she sought police protection. She alleged that the gangster used to harass her and she had death threat. Budhia Singh, child trainer of Budhia Singh was murdered by the stalker when he intervened the don’s act. Now she is busy in south Indian film industry, and has been signed as the youth ambassador for Mahanadi Surakshya Yojana.
