Kubra Khan Biography

Kubra Khan is a London-based-Pakistani actress and fashion model who made her Bollywood debut with 2015 film, Welcome to Karachi. She played parallel lead in the film, which also starred Arshad Warsi,   Jackky Bhagnani and Lauren Gottlieb. The movie was scripted by Vrajesh Hirjee and directed by Ashish R Mohan. She made her Pakistan debut through 2014 Pakistani comedy-thriller film Na Maloom Afraad. The movie was a major hit at box office. The movie also earned her instant recognition from the industry. She also appeared in the film, The Conversations.

This British Pakistani was born in London, UK in 1993. Her official name is Rabia. She started her career as a model and earned name in fashion industry, before she started accepting film roles. She worked with one of the leading modelling agencies - TMP Agency. She appeared in the popular music videos, "Hamesha" by Soch Band and "Ki Kenda Dil" by Rajveer in 2013. She has modeled for leading fashion designer Umer Syed and London based boutique Jasmanique before she made her Pakistani debut in 2014. Her role as ‘bank manager who saves the day’ and Moon’s dream girl in the film was well received by audience and critics alike.

She replaced actress Nargis Fakri for her debut Bollywood flick - Welcome to Karachi. She played female lead in the film. She learnt Urdu and did a full Pakistani avatar for the film. The movie’s plot revolves around two Indian men who enter Karachi without their passports and the interesting events following it. Karachi scenes were shot in UK. The film was produced by Vasu Bhagnani. Thus Kubra Khan is the latest among Pakistani actresses who entered Indian film scene.
