Kishore Biography

Kishore Kumar, normally credited as Kishore is a south Indian film actor known for negative shaded roles. He predominantly works in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil movies. In 2012, he debut Malayalam with the movie, Thiruvambadi Thamban where he played villain’s role. He won SIIMA awards for Best Actor in a Negative Role for the same role. His recent release is a biopic of Veerappan in Tamil and Kannada languages. This bilingual movie was released with the name, Attahasa in Kannada and Vana Yuddham in Tamil. This movie helped him to earn critical acclamation. Parimala Thiraiyarangam and Ulidavaru Kandanthe are his upcoming projects.

Kishore Kumar was born on 14 August 1974. It was during his college days at National College, Basavanagudi, he got attached to theater plays. Teregalu and Samrata Ashoka were his initial works as a stage actor. He completed post-graduation in Kannada literature from Bangalore University. He began his career as a teacher where he worked at a college in Bangalore for a couple of years before got shifted to fashion industry. He worked as a part-time fashion designer worked under fashion designer Vidyasagar. He was a professor from Indian Institute of Fashion Technology.

His film debut happened in the year 2004 with Kannada movie, Kanti. He worked as a costume designer for the same movie for which he got a state award also. Next year, he won Karnataka State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie, Raakshasa. Kallarali Hoovagi, Kannadada Kanda and Duniya were his next released Kannada movies. He debut Telugu with Happy in 2006 and Tamil with Polladhavan the following year, for which he won Vijay Award for Best Villain. Thus he established himself as a noted villain of Tamil movies in the recent times.
