Jose Pellissery Biography 
Jose Pellissery was a veteran actor of Malayalam cinema known for supporting roles. He was also a theatre artist. He spent 15 long years in Malayalam cinema and has given many memorable character roles. He has been one of the noted character artists of Malayalam cinema during 1990’s. Aadhaaram, Akashadoothu, Nadodi, and Ghazal are a few movies belonging to the era of 1990’s. He was also a noted theatre artist known for long term association with veteran actor Thilakan. Five Star Hospital, Alakal, Indhanam, Fassahu, Mochanam Nale, Adisankaran Janicha Naattil, and Chamayam are his noted stage plays. He has also acted in a few television serials like Chitta, Meghanidhi, and Kayamkulam Kochunni. Critically acclaimed movie director Ljo Jose Pellissery, known for the movies Amen, Nayakan and City of God, is his son.
Jose was born in Chalakudy, Thrissur in the year 1950. He has been associated with theater before entering cinema world. Pellissery was a partner of the theatre company Chalakudy Sarathy Theatres, where he performed as a stage actor in more than a dozen of plays. He has been associated with film actor Thilakan in theatre works. He has acted in numerous plays directed by Thilakan. As an actor in Malayalam cinema, he played more than 100 supporting roles. His death in December 5, 2004, due to a major heart attack shocked the whole film world. He was only 54 then, thus left the world with many contributions pending. He died in a private hospital at Chalakudy.
