Inigo Prabhakaran Biography

Inigo Prabhakaran is a popular south Indian actor who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. He is best known for the roles he played in Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai (2011) and Sundarapandian (2012). After an uncredited role as Vijay’s friend in 2003 movie, Pudhiya Geethai his actual film debut happened in the year 2007 with the sports drama, Chennai 600028 – the directorial debut of Venkat Prabhu which marked the acting debut of a bunch of young actors as well. Poo (2008) and Rummy (2014) are other noted roles.

He belongs to Muthulapuram of Tirunelveli. Since his entry to Tamil cinema in 2001, he has come up with some performances that have made an impact in Chennai 28, Saroja, Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai and Sundarapandiyan. In 2007, he made his film debut with Chennai 600028, which also marked the acting debut of Vijayalakshmi, Ajay Raj, Ranjith, Vijay Vasanth, Prasanna, and Arun who later went on to become successful actors in Collywood. Since then Prabhakaran had a dream run in Tamil cinema. Rummy (2014) marked his debut as a protagonist. He was paired with Gayathrie for this movie, which received mixed reviews and moderate success at box office. The comedy thriller co-produced and directed by debutant Balakrishnan also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Iyshwarya Rajesh in the supporting roles.

Earlier he has also appeared in a few TV ads. He appeared in the ad of Halls. As an actor, his best performance is highly critically acclaimed Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai. He portrayed the strong supporting role of Ramakrishnan in the National award winning movie, which starred Appukutty and Saranya Mohan in lead roles. Veeraiyan is his upcoming flick, directed by S Bharath. The story set in Thanjavur, he plays the role of a local guy in the movie.
