Gayatri Rema Biography

Gayatri Rema is a Tamil film actress, best known for playing supporting roles. She marked her acting debut with 2015 Tamil anthology film, Touring Talkies and was later seen in Oruthal, Saaya, Hara Hara Mahadevaki, Kasu Mela Kasu, Semma and Mohini. She is a regular face in Tamil cinema for the past couple of years. Oruthal (2016) and Saaya (2017) are her noted appearances till now. The actress is still in wait for a breakthrough role of her career.

Her real name is Gayatri Iyer, and she hails from Kerala. Gayatri Rema made her acting debut in the anthology film Touring Talkies (2015), which included an ensemble cast. She was recommended by S. A. Chandrasekhar for her debut role. She played the supporting role of a young girl in a "modern" relationship. The movie was not a big hit at box office. Yet she received more roles from Tamil film industry, yet most of them are low-budget films with low key release.

Gayatri later appeared in another small budget film Oruthal. She played the role of Vaishnavi in the movie. She played the role of a village girl in the horror film Saaya directed and produced by Pazhanivel in 2017. Hara Hara Mahadevaki, Kasu Mela Kasu, Semma and Mohini are her releases later. Most of her flicks faced failure at box office, and she is yet to find her foot in the industry.

Gayathri, who acted in SAC’s Touring Talkies replaced Meenakshi in the Tamil flick Villangam. When Meenakshi behaved unprofessionally, she was replaced. She played the role of Mynaa in 2018 release, Kasu Mela Kasu. Gayatri in Semma and Ambujam in Mohini are her other releases in 2018.
