Gauthami Nair Biography

Gauthami Nair is a Malayalam actress of ‘Diamond Necklace’ fame. She made her film debut through another debutant, actor Mammootty’s son - Dulquar Salman for the movie, Second Show in 2012. Same year her second movie, Diamond Necklace was also released where she played one among the three parallel female leads of the movie. She played Fahadh Faasil’s lover in this movie and both these movies were critical and commercial hits at box office. Second Show earned her Asianet Film Award for Best New Face of the Year (Female) and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Sunil Ibrahim's Chapters (2012) was her third release. Her upcoming movies are Mohanlal starrer Koothara, Mirror, TT Town 2 Town and Monkeys.

She was born in Alappuzha, Kerala in the year 1991. Her parents are Madhu Nair & Sobha. She wanted to go for Medicine, but then ‘Second Show’ happened. She got admission as well. But she later dropped out of the college to find time for film shooting. Currently she pursues her studies at a college in Thiruvananthapuram. She is studying Bachelor in Psychology.

Gauthami Nair gave an impressive performance in Lal Jose's Diamond Necklace, where she played the role of a Tamilian girl, Lakshmi who comes to Dubai. Her upcoming flick, Monkey is directed by Lijin Jose. Sunny Wayne and Manu are included in the star cast. She plays the role of a bold working woman in this movie. She plays the role of a college girl in Rajesh Gopan’s Mirror. In Srinath Rajendran's Koothara, she is to act with veteran actor Mohanlal, Bharath and Sunny Wayne and it is a mystery thriller.
