Gadam Kishan Biography

Gadam Kishan is a budding film actor associated with Tamil cinema. He plays supporting roles. He is a musician turned actor. Deiva Thirumagal (2011) and Thirumanam Enum Nikkah (2014) are among the major roles he played till now. He played Jai’s brother in Thirumanam Enum Nikkah. He was seen in the "Aga Naga" song of the box office hit – Ko. A promising young actor, he has half a dozen movies in his hand, and most of them are slated to release in 2016. He plays a negative role in his upcoming horror flick – Pagai. Vazhapazham, Evvalavo Paathuttom, Kaatrulla Pothe Thootrikkol, Velayadava and Rukkumani Vandi Varuthu are his upcoming films.

He started his career as a musician, performing the ghatam in fusion concerts. But later he entered television scene and appeared in the series, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal followed by his film debut in 2010. He played Vishnu Vishal’s friend in his debut flick, Bale Pandiya which received mixed reviews from critics. After a brief appearance in a song sequence in the film, Ko, he received his first major break through the film, Deiva Thirumagal in 2011. He played the role of a mentally challenged person in this film. Balu Mahendra wanted to make a film with Gadam as a lead actor, where he plays a mentally challenged person. But following the director’s death the film did not materialize.

He mostly portrays brother and friend kind of roles, and is known for his roles with a comic touch. Now experimenting with roles, he has accepted a grey shaded role for the upcoming horror film, Pagai. He plays the male lead in Kaatrulla Pothe Thootrikkol. Gadam has been roped in for the Tamil remake of Hindi satire, Jolly LLB, where he plays the role of a lawyer and friend of the hero. The movie is directed by Ahamed. He plays a comic character in Raj Mohan’s Rukkumani Vandi Varuthu.
