Faisal Saif is a Bollywood film director from Mumbai known for choosing controversial themes for his movies. Jigyasa, based on the life of actress Mallika Sherawat released in 2006 is his most noticed work. This controversial movie was a sleeper hit at box office and revived the career of Hrishitaa Bhatt who played the lead role in this movie. This director has remained in limelight for controversial news like creating fake marriage news for Pakistani model and actress Meera, who worked with him for the movie Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore. However the director denied both these allegations. Amma – is his upcoming movie which is to get released in 2015 in 5 Indian languages including Hindi. Main Hoon Rajinikanth –a tribute to iconic film celebrity Rajinikanth is another movie to get released soon.

He was born in Mumbai in 1976. He started his career as a music video director in the early 2000s and marked his Bollywood debut with the controversial movie Jigyasa in 2006. Actress Mallika Sherawat was approached for its lead role and it was also rumoured that the movie is based on her entry to Bollywood and after that. But the director denied those allegations. Later the title role went to Hrishitaa Bhatt of Asoka fame.

His next release was ‘Come December’ based on the theme of HIV positive homosexuals. The movie got released in India in 2006 and also won Best Story award at Indianapolis LGBT Film Festival. After a long break his third movie was released in 2012. The Psycho-thriller starring Pakistani top actress Meera Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore was listed among the top 10 Bold movies of Bollywood for the year 2012.
