Elina Samantray Biography

Elina Samantray is a popular film actress associated with Odia film industry. She is one of the most sought actresses of Ollywood right now. She started her career with Ollywood film Ishq Tu Hi Tu in the year 2015, and is also known for her appearance in the reality television show Kie Heba Mo Heroine, where she emerged as the winner. She hails from Keonjhar, Odisha, and is currently settled in the capital city, Bhubaneswar. In 2018 she appeared in Odia-Bengali bilingual movie, Tokata Fasigala. She has appeared in more than 10 movies since her debut in 2015. Abhaya released in 2017 is her best performance up-to-date. She received Odia state award for best actress for this movie.

Elina was born on July 22, 1996 in Keonjhar, Odisha. She came to spotlight for the first time when she participated in the reality television show Kie Heba Mo Heroine, which was broadcast on Tarang TV. She also emerged as the winner, and the success of the show gave her the first break to film industry in the year 2015. She marked her film debut with Ishq Tu Hi Tu, where she played the female lead opposite Arindam Roy. Very soon she bagged two more projects - Kehi Nuhe Kahara and Jaga Hatare Pagha both released the same year. She turned a busy actress thereafter.

Love Station and Jhia Ta Bigidi Gala were her releases for 2016, and in 2017, she worked with Ollywood lead actor Anubhav Mohanty in Abhaya and Kabula Barabula. Mu Khanti Odia Jhia was one more movie released the same year. She had three releases in 2018 – 4 Idiots, Tokata Fasigala and Happy Lucky. Her debut film Ishq Tu Hi Tu bagged her Tarang Cine Award for Best Debutant Female.
