Durga Krishna is an upcoming actress associated with Malayalam cinema, who marked her debut with Prithviraj starrer Vimanam in 2017. She played lead role opposite Prithviraj in her debut film, the movie which received rave reviews from critics and was a box office hit. Her role was well appreciated, and she came to limelight with the release of the film. An accidental actor, she loves to do more roles in Malayalam cinema. She always dreamt to become a dancer, but landed as an actress to cine world. She signed the film, only because she is to pair with Prithviraj in a female lead role. She has been a successful model before her entry to tinsel town.

Durga was determined that she would never enter film industry or act. For the same reason, when she was offered a film role at the age of 16, she rejected it without a second thought. But a few years later, destiny brought her to the same cine world, which she tried to keep at distance. She dreamt to become a successful dancer always. She marked her film debut in a lead role opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran for the film, Vimanam, released in 2017. She played the character Janaki in this film with an inspirational plot, which told the story of an aeronautics enthusiast with hearing disabilities and his attempt to build an aircraft using recycled materials.

She was winding up a six-day pilgrimage to Mookambika, when Vimanam’s offer came in. On her way back home, a call from some casting director came mid-way. She was chosen as Miss Beautiful Face in the Miss Malabar Beauty Pageant before, and that might be one reason she bagged the role without any recommendations. She believes that she is dancer first, and everything that comes is only secondary.
