Divya Prabha Biography

Divya Prabha is a noted actress associated with Malayalam entertainment industry. She is associated with both television and movies. She plays supporting roles in Malayalam cinema, and is known for playing ‘daughter’ roles in movies. She is associated with Malayalam television since 2014 and has played a few roles such as Roma IPS for Parasparam (2014), Aparna for Eshwaran sakshiyayi (2015) and most recently Manasariyathe for Surya TV. She played the noted role of Anu Priya’s roommate Ann in the comedy film – Ithihasa (2014). Nadan, Vettah, Cold Storage and Pianist are other noted works. In 2014 she marked her Tamil debut through Kayal for which she essayed a character role named Divya.

Divya Prabha hails from Thrissur, Kerala. Currently she lives in Pathanamthitta. She was born on 18 May 1991 to P S Ganapathy Iyer and Leelamani. Her father is a legal consultant, while mother a homemaker. She has two elder sisters. One sister is married and settled in Gujarat while her second sister is settled in Abu Dhabi. Divya completed her graduation from TKM College of Arts and Science in Kollam and currently doing her MBA course.

She made her big screen debut with the film ‘Lokpal’ starring Mohanlal in 2014, and since then she appeared in a series of film roles throughout 2014. She made her television debut through ‘Amma Manasam’ directed by K K Rajeev. She has also done brief roles for a few television shows since then. She has made her promising debut in Tamil movies as well. She was seen in a bold avatar in the Tamil film, Kayal released in 2014. She became extremely popular through the character role of ‘Aparna’ in the TV soap ‘Eshwaran Sakshiyayi’ aired in Flowers TV.
