Disha Pandey Biography
Disha Pandey is a south Indian film actress and successful model. She marked her acting career with Bollywood flop, Bolo Raam (2009) - remake of the Tamil film Raam. After this disastrous start, she reached south Indian cinema and debut with Tamil flick - Thamizh Padam in 2010 which was declared a super hit at box office. It was followed by a thriller, Mayanginen Thayanginen (2012) which received negative response from critics. She debut Telugu film industry with Race in 2013 and also appeared in her second Bollywood flick, Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga which was once again declared as flop. She has also done modelling for Prince Jewellery and Amul Lassi.
She belongs to Jaipur, Rajasthan and was brought up in Delhi. She has 2 siblings. Her father works in government education department and her mother is the MD of Hindustan Copper Limited. Her family currently resides in Rajasthan. Though she entered movies while studying at school, she completed graduation in Human Rights before taking acting seriously. She chose art subject instead of science so that she can complete graduation with ease. She has been a successful model and has appeared in many television ads.
After her successful debut in Tamil cinema with 'Thamizh Padam', the actress became so excited that she has started watching Tamil movies. She does so, to know more about Tamil cinema and wants to stay in the industry. Though she understands Tamil now, she is not confident enough for dubbing. She is to make her Kannada debut with ‘Smt Jayalalitha’, remake of Malayalam comedy ‘Maya Mohini’ in which she reprises the role played by Mythili. Chikki Mukki and Manasunu Maaya Seyake (Telugu) and Manadhil Maayam Seidhai (Tamil) are her upcoming movies.
