Dipna Patel Biography

Dipna Patel is a very successful lady model from the state of Gujarat, and an actress too. She was crowned the 2nd Runners Up in I AM She – Miss Universe India 2012. Femina Style Diva 2012 Season 1 and Miss Asia Pacific World India 2012 are other major wins of her modelling career. Currently Patel has entered Gujarati film industry. She has done photo shoots and advertisements for various brands, including Kohinoor Basmati Rice, PUMA and Killer Jeans. After winning the second runner-up position at I AM She – Miss Universe India, Dipna turned quite busy with theatre and as a stage actress, she has appeared in around 10 plays belonging to Hindi, English and Gujarati languages.

Dipna grew up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She is of Vadodara origin, where her father is doing business. He is also a singer. Dipna completed her graduation in fashion and apparel design from NIFT, Gandhinagar and also earned a scholarship to New York Film Academy. Dipna also performed garba regularly during Navratri festival in Vadodara until 2013.

Her active career in modelling began in 2011, when she took participation in Miss Citadel Pune (Yin Yang), and she got the title. 2012 remains a major turning point of her professional career, when she bagged three important titles - Miss Asia Pacific World India 2012, Femina Style Diva 2012 and the second runner up at the I AM She – Miss Universe India 2012.

As she dreamt to pursue a career in acting, she took theater seriously, and till now has acted in around a dozen of plays belonging to three different languages. She made her film debut with Gujjubhai The Great, a Gujarati comedy drama in 2015. She also appeared in two short films - Beat That and Kaarnamu.
