Dhamu Biography 
Dhamu is an Indian comedian who came to limelight after his debut movie in Tamil Malar in 1991. He is a member of the touring comedy troupe Gaana Galata Group.
The birth name of Dhamu is Tamarai Bharani. The Assistant Director Sukumaran spotted him and gave him the chance to act in the film Malar as a comical rowdy. After his portrayal as Jeans Sivam in the film En Thozi in which Vijay performed in the lead character, he got a major break.
He is excellent in standup comedies. He has acted in many films including Rasikkum Seemane, Villu, Thotta, Sivaji: The Boss, Pokkiri, Ghilli, Arasatchi, Jay Jay, Punnagai Desam, Gemini, Appu, Ninaivirukkum Varai, Jodi, Time, Amarkalam, Poovellam Kettuppar, Endrendrum Kaadhal, Aval Varuvaalaa, Thulli Thirindha Kaalam, Baasha, Pudhiya Mannargal, Jaathimalli, etc.
After a while, he quit the mainstream acting and started a company, Tamarai Bharani Comedy Agency for conducting comedy shows. He regularly hosts Kalakkal Comedy on Sun TV. He married Suganthi Dhamu and is blessed with twin girls after 13 years of marriage.
