Chandoo Mondeti Biography 
Chandoo Mondeti is a young film director associated with Telugu cinema, best known for Premam. He turned a full-fledged director in the year 2014 with his directorial debut, Karthikeya and in October 2016 released his second flick, Premam, a remake of Malayalam cult classic with the same name released one year earlier. Since the movie was in making, Chandoo remained in limelight, as the original version itself was a huge hit across south India. Premam opened to mixed reviews, but fared well at box office. It’s one among the south Indian movies in the recent times which has been trolled most on social media, either for casting Shruti Haasan in the lead or for comparisons with the origin.
Chandoo Mondeti hails from Kovvur, West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh state. He debuted as a director with Karthikeya in 2014. He rose to fame after the movie got released, and the movie starring Nikhil Siddharth and Swati Reddy was well received by audience. The movie generally received positive reviews from critics, and was a box office hit. He received a nomination at Filmfare for best director, apart from many other nominations at award nights.
Since Premam remake was announced, he hogged in limelight for both positive and negative reasons. The remake version starring Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran couldn’t replicate the success of original, yet managed to win at box office. He is currently working on two Telugu projects - Kirrak party and Savyasachi. His upcoming Telugu flick as a writer – Savyasachi marks Telugu debut of Bollywood actress, Nidhhi Agerwal of Munna Micheal fame. This action movie also features Naga Chaitanya and Madhavan in lead roles.
