Chaams Biography 
Chaams is a noted comedian and character artist of Tamil cinema at present. Associated with Tamil cinema since early 2000s, he has also played lead hero roles in a couple of movies. Palaivana Solai (2009) and the comedy film Onbadhule Guru (2013) are his noted roles in the recent times. Onbadhule Guru, where he played the pivot role of Guru was a descend hit at box office though received mixed reviews. The movie included an ensemble star cast of Vinay Rai, Sathyan Sivakumar, Premji Amaren, Aravind Akash and Lakshmi Rai. Palaivana Solai was a remake of the 1980 film with the same title, and the movie also starred Nithin Sathya and Karthika Mathew. He played one among the 5 friends who tries to woo the girl.
Chaams belongs to Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He started his film career doing bit roles since 2001. A few of such roles include – King, Anbe Un Vasam, Perazhagan, Sachein, Kundakka Mandakka, Aaru, Veyil etc. Later on he got a few small, but meaningful roles to remain in limelight. Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, Payanam Onbadhule Guru and Ethiran are a few such appearances. He shared screen space with Prakash Raj and Nagarjuna for the thriller movie – Payanam. He has done noted appearances in the recent releases - Uppu Karuvaadu, Thoongaa Vanam, 49-0, Maanga, Nalanum Nandhiniyum, Kanchana 2, Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani etc. 49-0 and Maanga got noticed for his comedy timings.
Right from the beginning he started a new style of comedy, which got appreciated. His natural tone and local Tamilian style to deliver dialogues made his a popular comedian. After struggling in the initial phase, he came to prominence with the early 2010s, a time when veteran comedians took back stage. He played the character role of a barber in Rajinikanth starrer Ethiran in 2010. In 2013 film Onbadhule Guru, the he played the role of disgruntled married man who wants to go back to his bachelor days along with his other friends. Bhooloham and Kopperundevi are his upcoming releases.
