Bobby Simha Biography

Bobby Simha is a Tamil film actor known for supporting and negative roles. He owns a distinct style in delivering comedy scenes on screen. His antagonist role in bi-lingual ‘Neram’ is one of such instances. He played the role of a ‘ghost’ in 2012 thriller – Pizza. He played the pivot role of Pagalavan in 2013 highly acclaimed black comedy movie, Soodhu Kavvum. Naan Rajavaga Pogiren and Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi are his other noted appearances. He has signed 5 movies and is now a busy actor in Collywood.

His full name is Bobby Jayasimha. Since school days, he wanted to become an actor like Rajinikanth. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in computer science to satisfy his parents. He was a college dropout, who decided to build a career in business or earn money through BPO. But he landed in movies instead. He got acquainted with short filmmaker Manikandan, who recommended his name to Karthik Subbaraj, who was to make his maiden directorial venture, Pizza. Though his role as house owner ghost was brief, it was one of the pivot roles of the movie indeed. The movie had only less number of artists and made on a moderate budget too. After scaring the audience in Pizza, he made brilliant performances in Soodhu Kavvum and Neram.

He is to work with Karthik Subbaraj with his second big budget movie – Jigarthanda where he shares screen space with Siddharth. They also collaborated on a number of short films. Pizza just happened and Bobby made a mark in the film industry. He played the role of an aimless youth in 2013 movie - Soodhu Kavvum. Urmeen is to mark his acting career in lead role.
