Bhuvan Srinivasan Biography

Bhuvan Srinivasan is a successful film editor associated with Tamil film industry. As a film editor, his work got widely appreciated through the projects, Arima Nambi (2014), Demonte Colony (2015), Iru Mugan (2016) and Kuttram 23 (2017). He is associated with the field of editing since 2012, who has started off with the independent film, Delhi in a Day (2012). He has been associated with the team of Oh Kadhal Kanmani for its promos. Imaikkaa Nodigal, Thuppakki Munai and Kaalidas are his current projects in pipeline. He has done around 10 films up-to-date.

Bhuvan Srinivasan hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He doesn’t belong to a filmy background. He has been very passionate about watching movies, and slowly an ambition grew in him towards film making and direction. His graduation in commerce was completed at Loyola College, Chennai. Then he took a 1-year diploma at the LV Prasad Film Academy to pursue a career in film industry. He started off with independent films, before movies to feature films. He worked as an assistant under Sreedhar Prasad, before starting with independent films. His very first film as an assistant editor was Mani Ratnam’s bilingual, Raavanan.

He worked under the acclaimed editor for 5 years, for many Bollywood and south Indian projects. Those Bollywood projects include - Agent Vinod (2012) and Cocktail (2012). After doing one independent project in Hindi in 2012, he got several assignments from Tamil. Arima Nambi (2014) was his first feature film. His real passion was film direction. Somehow he couldn’t pursue it. Film editing is his second choice. He has not given up his direction dream yet. While doing editing, he is keeping his directorial dreams alive.
