Attakathi Dinesh Biography

Attakathi Dinesh is a successful young actor of Tamil. He made his film debut through 2012 successful movie – Attakathi and after that he came to be known as Attakathi Dinesh. The movie was directed by Pa. Ranjith, where he was paired with Nandita and Iyshwarya Rajesh. In this movie he played the title role of Dinakaran, a semi-urban teenager from a small village, which fetched positive reviews from critics and many nominations at film awards for a promising debut. Before that he has done a few less-credited roles in movies like Mouna Guru, Aadukalam and E.

After completion of schooling from Washermenpet, Chennai, he started his search of film offers in 2010. He played minor roles in a few roles and made his breakthrough debut as a lead hero through Attakathi in 2012. There is no turning back after that and he performed in lead role in numerous Tamil movies thereafter. After the success of Attakathi, he played cameo roles in Ethir Neechal and Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, before his next release, Cuckoo which surprised film critics and audience once again. He played the role a visually challenged man in the movie, which was really challenging for a new comer. Cuckoo was released in March 2014 and he was paired opposite Malavika Nair. This heartwarming love story was received well at box office and his acting was compared with the performance of Kamal Haasan in acclaimed movie, Raja Paarvai.

Now a set of Tamil movies are to get released in 2014. R. Sashidharan’s Vaaraayo Vennilaave, Caarthick Raju’s Thirudan Police and Ram Prakash Rayappa’s Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum are his upcoming releases where he plays the lead hero role.
