Ashiesh Roy Biography

Ashiesh Roy is a successful film and television actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He works both in Bollywood and television, portraying character and comic roles most. He played supporting roles in Bollywood films - Raja Natwarlal, Barkha, MP3 – Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar, Home Delivery, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero etc. He is a well-known writer and dubbing artist too, who has given his voice to several characters of Hollywood dubbed movies to Hindi. Dark Knight, Man of steel, Superman returns and Guardians of Galaxy are among his noted works as a dubbing artist. Those works include both live action films and animated ones.

Till now he has appeared in around 15 TV shows. Banegi ApniBaat, Yes Boss, Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai, Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Remix, and Mere Angne are among his noted television roles which earned him accolades. He excelled in his roles as a comedian. He was born on 18 May 1965. He is associated with Hindi entertainment industry since late 1990s. Banegi Apni Baat (1997-1999) as Abhishek, Movers & Shakers (1998-1999), Daayre etc are among his early works. He got noticed for the comedy show - Yes Boss (1999). Since then he is associated with entertainment industry for about two decades. Professor Ganguly in Goldie Ahuja Matric Pass and Ashok in Mere Angne Mein are among his recent TV roles.

He got his first break to films in 2004 through Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero where he was seen in the role of a Spy Policeman. Though he has played a few roles for movies, he earned recognition through TV shows. He played the role of Kasi in Emraan Hashmi starrer Raja Natwarlal and the supporting role of Anna in Barkha. Both these roles got noticed.
