Arjai Biography

Arjai, earlier known as Prinz Nithik is an actor associated with Tamil cinema, known for playing supporting roles and grey shaded roles. He played antagonist’s role in a few Tamil films including Naan Sigappu Manithan (2014) and Masss (2015). Naaigal Jaakirathai, Thiri, Paayum Puli, Yaman, Pandigai etc are other releases. He also plays henchman roles on screen. Sandakozhi 2 is his upcoming release, slated to release in 2018.

Arjai, previously credited as Prinz Nithik is also known by the name, Ilavarasan. He has been a graphic designer by profession, before pursuing a career in films. Prinz Nithik trained under stunt choreographer Pandiyan to get prepared for working in films. He met actor Vishal in one function incidentally, who suggested him a villainous role in Pandiya Naadu, as he believed Arjai suits the role best. But as the role was already assigned to someone else, Vishal agreed with him to work in future very soon. By that time, director Shakti Rajan offered him a role in Naaigal Jaakirathai to play Guna. Vishal later signed him on to appear in Naan Sigappu Manithan (2014) for a similar negative role, successfully launching him in movies.

After the success of these two movies back to back, Arjai got many roles from Tamil cinema, mostly of villain or henchman type. In 2015, he portrayed a supporting antagonist in Venkat Prabhu's Masss and established himself as a leading villain of Tamil screen. The new villain of tinsel town, he rechristened himself as Prinz Nithik. The actor wants to do only negative roles as he feels he can do justice to them. He was trained under stunt master Pandiyan, who trained Suriya and Karthi and dreams to make it big in films.
