Anupama Parameswaran is an upcoming south Indian actress, who shot to fame playing the teen love Mary George of George David, the title role portrayed by Nivin Pauly in Malayalam all-time blockbuster Premam released in 2015. She was one among the three lovers of George David during the three phases of his life and Anupama played his first love. The other two roles were portrayed by newcomers – Sai pallavi and Madonna Sebastian and all these three heroines gained popularity among the masses. ‘Aluva Puzhayude Theerath’ - the popular song pictured on her was an instant chartbuster. Now Anupama is to reprise her role in the Telugu remake of the same film.

Anupama was born in Irinjalakuda in the Kottayam district to Parameshwaran and Sunitha Parameshwaran. She has one brother Akshay Parameshwaran. She completed her schooling at a Kindergarten followed by Don Bosco Higher Secondary School in Kottayam town. She completed Plus-two from the National Higher Secondary School and joined the reputed CMS College to pursue graduation in English. She applied for auditions for the movie ‘Premam’ through Facebook and got selected in the film auditions by its director Alphonse Putharen.

Thus Anupama became a part of Malayalam’s most romantic popular film in the recent times. Though she played a small role in ‘Premam’ gave her enough popularity among audience, particularly the youth. The song "Aluva Puzhayude" sung by talented Vineeth Sreenivasan created huge ripples in the social media sites. Most recently her photos were morphed and circulated over net by miscreants online and her stand to take legal actions against them was one of the most talked subjects in M-town. Apart from Premam remake, she has signed two more projects in Telugu. In one of the films she shares screen space with Ravi Teja.
