Ankur Garg Biography

Ankur Garg is an Indian businessman, entrepreneur and film producer who produces Bollywood films. He is one of the founders of film production company, Luv Films, which he started with his childhood friend Luv Ranjan. He is also the founder of iForIndia.org, an NGO which aims to politically empower citizens through the use of technology. It provides a platform for citizens to rate the performance of their elected representatives. Luv Films co-produced the 2018 blockbuster Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Ajay Devgan starrer comedy hit, De De Pyaar De.

Ankur Garg was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh in year 1982. He spent his childhood in his hometown where he completed his school education. He later completed his B. Tech degree from University of Pune and a management development program at IIM Ahmedabad. After completing B. Tech in IT, he started his professional career as a s/w engineer and worked for 7 years with Microsoft. He quit Microsoft in September 2012, and started a film production house with his school friend Luv Ranjan, and named it as Luv Films.

He served as the associate producer of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. Life Sahi Hai in 2016 was the first movie as film producer, followed by big budget Shivaay of Ajay Devgan released the same year. Their next two production ventures - Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and De De Pyaar De met with commercial success. Chhalaang and Jai Mummy Di are other releases. His upcoming projects are Malang and also one untitled project starring Ajay Devgan and Ranbir Kapoor. Both the movies are slated to release in 2020.
