Anjali Patil Biography

Anjali Patil is a talented film and theatre actress. Delhi in a Day, Chakravyuh and Sri Lankan film ‘With You Without You’ are regarded as her best works. She played lead role of Sonu opposite Hussain Kuwajerwala in his debut movie, Shree released in 2013. The movie travelling through one’s future received good reviews from critics as well as good response from public. Kill The Rapist? directed by Mira Shukla, telling the story of increased crimes against Indian women is her upcoming movie. She plays a cameo role in upcoming English/Konkani film, Finding Fanny Fernandes. In 2012, she received best actress award at International Film Festival of India held in Goa, for the title role in ‘With You Without You’.

Anjali was born in Nasik on 26 September 1989. She was brought up in her hometown where she completed her school education. She dreamt to become an actress and joined Center for Performing Arts at University of Pune. In 2007 she passed out with a gold medal. Then she did Masters in Theater Design at National School of Drama in New Delhi. During this time, she got opportunity to work in theatre, both Indian and international. During this time, she got opportunity to work under Naseeruddin Shah.

Delhi in a Day, released in 2011 marked her film debut. This movie was Prashant Nair's Hindi-English international independent film project. The film was premiered at the Mumbai film festival on October 13, 2011 and she received rave reviews for her role as Rohini. Then she played lead role in an international short film, Green Bangles. Chakravyuh marked her Bollywood debut. In 2013, she debut Malayalam with critically well acclaimed movie, Ente where she played lead role.
