Amruta Subhash Biography 
Amruta Subhash is a noted Marathi actress and singer who works in movies, theatre and television industry. She is the daughter of veteran Marathi actress, Jyoti Subhash. As a television actress, she is most popularly known for the series, Awaghachi Sansaar that aired on Zee Marathi. She played lead role in this series. She is also a playback singer of the industry and has released a few albums composed by her. She is a trained classical singer and Jata Jata Pawasane was her debut album, which went unnoticed. She was one of the finalists of Marathi version of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ where all the contestants were celebrities. She has been active in the theatre since 1997. She has also done background score for a couple of Marathi movies. She learnt Bharatnatyam too.
She holds a diploma in acting from National School of Drama. Her first acting experience is the medium of theatre. Urvashiam, Bela Meri Jaan and Mrug Trushna were the noted plays in which she acted, while at NSD. She received learning from noted theatre celebrity, Satyadev Dubey while at NSD. After completion of course, she became fully active in theater. Shwaas released in 2004 marked her film debut, in which she played the role of Aasawari. This movie was India’s official entry to Oscar awards. Hindi movie, ‘Chausar’ was her next released movie. She appears mostly in realistic films than commercial ones.
She has been equally active in television as well. Television series like Zoka, Paaulkhuna and Awaghachi Sansaar made her a household name in Marathi circle. White Rainbow, Tya Ratri Paus Hota, Firaaq and Valu are other noted appearances. Her upcoming Bollywood project is Spaghetti 24 x 7.
