Amritha Anil Biography

Amritha Anil is a popular child artist associated with Malayalam entertainment industry, who shot to fame after playing Manju Warrior’s daughter, Lakshmi Rajeev in Manju’s comeback film – How Old Are You in 2014. She also played an interesting character role in Shobana’s comeback movie - 'Thira', directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. She reprised her role of How Old Are You in Jyothika’s comeback film -36 Vayadhinile (2015). Apart from several ad films and a few commercial movies, she anchored a programme in Kochu TV. In 2014 she shared screen space with Prithviraj for the film – London Bridge. But this movie was a box office failure.

 

Amritha was born on 11th April 2000 at Ernakulam, Kerala. Her father Anilkumar is a businessman and her mother Sindhu works as a site engineer at Mir Group. Since younger days Amritha showed interest in dance, music and drawing. She is trained in classical dance as well as violin. She schooled at Saraswathy Vidhyanikethan Senior Higher Secondary School, Elamakara of Ernakulam district. She has been active in competitions and cultural events since school days, and has won prizes at School Kalolsavams at District and State levels.

 

She also developed interest in modelling, and appeared in a few TV ads. At the age of 6, she also played a child artist in a few films. She played Namitha Pramod’s childhood in ‘Puthiya Theerangal’, and also hosted TV shows on Children’s channels. ‘Face to Face’, ‘London Bridge’, 'Buddhan Chirikkunnu', ‘Thira’ and ‘How old are you’ are among her noted movies. She played Dyan Sreenivasan’s sister in the film ‘Thira’ and the whole story revolves around her kidnap. Though she has keen interest in movies, she also carries a dream to become an architect.
