Alvira Khan Agnihotri Biography

Alvira Khan Agnihotri is a film producer associated with Bollywood, and a fashion designer too. Born into a family of strong film background, she is the daughter of great script writer, Salim Khan of Salim-Javed duo who scripted some of the memorable movies like Sholay. All her three brothers are associated with Bollywood as actors, directors and producers. Her eldest brother Salman Khan is a big star of the industry, and the rest two brothers, Sohail Khan and Arbaz Khan are also associated with Bollywood. She is married to film actor-director, Atul Agnihotri, who has successfully directed many Bollywood films and produced a few as well. Helen, famous actress of yesterdays is her stepmother.

Alvira Khan is her maiden name. She was born in Mumbai on 13 December 1969 into a filmy family as the daughter of Sushila Charak and Salim Khan. While her brothers worked as actors and filmmakers of Bollywood, she worked as costume designer in the industry. She has designed outfits for Salman Khan for his movie appearances such as Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan etc. Her work for Salman Khan starrer Sultan earned her Stardust Award in 2016 for Best Costume Design. She collaborated with Ashley Rebello for this blockbuster.

In 1996 she married Atul Agnihotri of Aashique fame, and had two children. Alizeh and Ayaan are her kids. Atul Agnihotri has also directed two Salman Khan films, which flopped at box office. In 2011 Alvira Khan turned a film producer, and co-produced Salman Khan starrer Body Guard, which became a huge blockbuster. She collaborated with costume designer Ashley Rebello and they own a fashion label called Ahakzai at Bandra, and the label has designed many costumes for many Salman Khan movies.
