Aju Varghese Biography

Aju Varghese is a Malayalam film actor known for portraying supporting and comic roles. He played the role of David Kaanjaani, cousin of Nazriya Nazim in the first successful movie of 2014, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana. His appearance was noted in handful movies last year too. Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus, Kili poyi, Bicycle Thieves, Neram, Bharya Athra Pora, Zachariayude Garbhinikal and Punyalan Agarbattis are his noted appearances last year. In 2010, when Vineeth Sreenivasan made his directorial debut, a group of young actors were given opportunity. Aju was one among those artists who gained attention through this commercial hit. He also received the Best New Face of the Year in Vanitha Film Awards – 2011. Thattathin Marayathu was his big break to the industry which gave him best comedian award at Asia vision Film Awards and Indian Movie Awards Qatar.

He was born in Tiruvalla, Kerala in the year 1985. His school and college education were done at Ernakulam. He is married to Augustina. After B. Tech he was working HSBC, Chennai when he got a call from Vineeth Sreenivasan. After his debut in 2010 by Malarvadi Arts Club directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, Vineeth gave him the opportunity to work in his next directorial venture too. The movie was Thattathin Marayathu released in 2012, which gave him big break to the industry. In between he appeared in hit movies like Doctor love, Sevens, Manikya Kallu and Mayamohini. All these movies were big hits at box office.

Since 2012, he regularly appears in short films like Yellow Pen, Oru Kutty Chodyam, Love policy, Oru Thundu Padamc and A Sweet Curse. After his critically acclaimed role in Om Shanti Oshana, his next movie release is Pakida directed by Sunil Karyattukara.
