Adarsh Balakrishna Biography

Adarsh Balakrishna is a Telugu film actor from Bangalore known for baddie roles in movies such as Govindudu Andarivadele, Iqbal, Superstar Kidnap and Happy Days. In fact the actor wants to make his mark as baddie in the film industry. Over the years he has worked with top filmmakers like Nagesh Kukunoor, Sekhar Kammula, Ram Gopal Varma, Vamsi etc. He played lead villain against Ram Charan in the action thriller Govindudu Andarivadele. Bodyguard, Genius, Maro Charitra, Ride, Vinayakudu, Evaraina Epudaina etc are a few more roles he played on screen. Bollywood film – Iqbal marked his onscreen debut where he played a grey shaded role.

He was born into a business family in Bangalore in 1984. His mother is a homemaker while his younger sister is an architect. At the age of 8 his family got shifted to Hyderabad where he continued his studies. He completed graduation from Nizam College in 2006. During his college days he nurtured his dreams to play for Indian cricket team. Though he couldn’t fulfill his dreams, he is associated with Celebrity Cricket League as a team member of Telugu Warriors. He has played till state level during his teens. He also started his career in the character role of a cricketer in Nagesh Kukunoor’s highly acclaimed Bollywood movie on cricket – Iqbal released in 2005.

He was training at St John's Cricket Academy in his teens when he was spotted by Nagesh Kukunoor, the highly acclaimed film director. His team was in search for a real cricketer who was able to play a character opposite the lead hero Shreyas Talpade who was in his teens. Thus he portrayed the role of Kamal, the rival of Iqbal in the movie. Since then he got attracted to negative character roles most.
