Leh Climate in Summer Season
Summer season starts in late March and lasts till September and this is the best season for visiting the city. International tourists prefer summer season for their visit. The sky is clear during this time and so the panoramic view of the mountains offers good visual treat. The highest recorded temperature in summer is 33 degree Celsius and the lowest temperature is -12. However the average temperature ranges from -1 degree Celsius to 25 degree Celsius.
Leh Climate in Winter Season
The local tourists prefer winter season. The snow capped mountains and the misty atmosphere enchant them. The winters are long and the climate falls as much as -28 degree Celsius. The rarefied air makes the effect of the sun harsher causing sun burns. Frost bites are widely seen. Snowfalls are common factors during winter months.
Leh Climate in Monsoon Season
The monsoon season in Leh is not very prominent because it gets scanty rainfall. The average annual rainfall is 102 mm. The rainfall is occasional and spreads throughout the year and place receives comparatively more rainfall in July and August.
