Vasu Primlani Biography 
Vasu Primlani is an internationally known stand-up comedian and international environmentalist from Delhi. She is also a faculty at Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. She is a triathlete and a ballerina who also teaches rock climbing. She has produced and performed in hundreds of corporate and comedy club shows across the world. Vasu is also a recipient of numerous awards including People’s Green Award November 2012 Airtel Delhi Half Marathon R4, 35 Under 35 World Business Magazine London October 2007, Top 40 Business Leaders Under the Age of 40 East Bay Business Times 2005, National Volvo Hometown Hero award 2004, San Francisco Bay Area Hero award 2004 and many more.
Vasu was born and brought up in Delhi, where she completed her education. She holds a master's degree from UCLA in Geography, Urban Planning and Law. She founded the non-profit - Thimmakka’s Resources for Environmental Education in the United States, whose outstanding contributions have earned her many awards and recognitions. Apart from her successful career as an environmentalist, she is also an internationally known stand-up comedian who has successfully completed hundreds of comedy shows till now. She is known to crack, deadpan, a joke at almost any situation.
A multifaceted personality she is not just like an average comic. She has a routine that combines together an unlikely combination of jokes about gender, queerness etc. She feels comedy is a heeling field. In 2013, Primlani did a show with contemporary comics Aditi Mittal and Neeti Palta. In July 2014 she entered into trouble when she was accused of cheating an activist. A complaint was registered by Saalumarada Thimmakka who had accused her of misusing her name and was detained by immigration authorities at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and not allowed to fly to US.
