Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Biography 
Rakesh Jhunjhunwala - a qualified Chartered Accountant is best known as an investment trader. He is also known as a film producer, whose most recent venture is Kareena Kapoor-Arjun Kapoor starrer Ki & Ka. He maintains his portfolio in his asset firm Rare Enterprises and regularly shares his opinions on daily trading and long term investments for TV shows for business channels like CNBC. He completed CA at Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in Mumbai. Currently he serves as the chairman of Aptech Limited and Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
Rakesh was born in Mumbai in 1960. His father worked as an Income Tax Officer. After graduation, he completed CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He currently serves on board of directors for many leading companies of India in the corporate sectors. His portfolio belong companies of different sectors – from IT and Pharmaceuticals to Finance, realty and Hotels. Among those leading firms are Provogue India Limited, Concord Biotech Limited, Prime Focus Limited, Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services Limited, Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited etc.
In 2011 during the bad days of recession and sick Indian stock market, his stocks fell by up to 30% in December in the same pace of other stocks. However he managed to recover from his losses in February 2012. This uncertainty in the stock prices prompted the investor to reduce his portfolio value to one-third, and now he has diversified his business ideas. He has also ventured into film production.
