Paul Varghese Biography 
Paul Varghese, an Indian American is a standup comedian from Dallas, Texas of Kerala origin. He is also associated with television and radio. Both his parents are Malayalis. He was seen in the popular reality show Last Comic Standing 2, where he reached till semifinals. He regularly performed in the afternoon show - Pugs and Kelly radio show. Started his professional career as a standup comedian in the 1977, he is a popular entertainer since then. He is also a television artist and host.
Paul was born on January 4, 1977 in Dallas, Texas, USA to Malayali Christian parents settled there. He is an Indian American. He studied his junior years at William Paterson University and later completed his graduation in radio, television and film from the University of North Texas in 2000, and started his professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2001. As a successful television artist, he has been featured on HBO, TBS, Comedy Central and NBC's "Last Comic Standing." He was featured on the Showtime special, "Russell Peters Presents”.
He is known for performing based on a number of observations about being Indian, providing hilarious commentary. He often mimics his Malayali parents for their thick accent and also his father’s fascination with crosses. He also imitates Malayali doctors, engineers etc. After his debut in 2001, he made his first theatre tour in the year 2005 where he got opportunity to perform in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and New York. It was followed by a 16-city tour in 2006. He received "Best Stand-Up Comic in Dallas” award in 2007, followed by "Funniest Comic in Texas" in 2009. He has also been featured on several comedy shows on mini screen.
