Mehul Solanki Biography

Mehul Solanki is a Gujarati actor associated with theatre, television and cinema. He performs on various platforms as an actor. He started off with theatre during his college days, and later got associated with other forms of entertainment as well. “Muthhi Bhari ne Jindgi” by Girish Parmar and “Hriday Triputi” by Chinmay Purohit are his noted plays during his early phase of theatre journey. “Doctor Ni Diary” directed by Deepak Bawaskar was his first TV show. Later he worked in government ad films, with Moving Pixels and various short films, before moving to big screen. “Premji: Rise of a warrior” is one of his best works on big screen, where he played the lead role.

 

Mehul Solanki hails from Gujarat. He started doing plays during college days, and worked in a few ones. He played a role of a 55 year old person in the play, “Muthhi Bhari ne Jindgi”. He did a role of Kavi Kalapi in “Hriday Triputi”. Soon after college, he got his offer from television when he worked in an episode of a TV Series “Doctor Ni Diary” with director Deepak Bawaskar. He was casted again for another episode by Vijaygiri Bava, who worked as an assistant for the show, Doctor Ni Diary. He worked with Sandeep Patel for TV shows, “Sagpan Ek Ukhanu” and “Motibaa”, and also appeared in ads and short films.

 

His transition to celluloid happened through Premji: Rise of a warrior in 2015 directed by Vijaygiri Bava, where he played the titular role of Premji. It was a challenging and tough role for him. He loves to play similar challenging roles on screen, as a protagonist or an antagonist is not significant. Patience, Passion and Dedication are his success mantras. He likes to cook when he is free, and he is a big foodie.
