Krishnarao Jaisim Biography 
Krishnarao Jaisim is an Indian architect from Karnataka. He has formerly served as chairman of the Indian Institute of Architects, Karnataka Chapter. He also writes columns on various forms of publications of international repute. His wife Geeta currently serves as President of University Women’s Association. J K Award– Architect of the Year 1992, Life Time Achievement Award 2007 for Outstanding Performance in the field of Architecture awarded by PAA, Outstanding Contribution to the Interior Architecture – Durian Society Interiors Design Award 2004 and International Gold Star Millennium Award in 2007 given at International conference on Indo – Nepal Friendship & Economic Co-operation at Kathmandu are some of the honours received by him.
Professor Krishnarao Jaisim was born in year 1944. He attended Madras Christian College School in the 1960s and completed his architecture studies in 1966 before beginning his professional career in the same field. He worked with the architectural firm of LM Chitale & Sons, Chennai during 1966-1970. After that he started an architecture practice under the name "Jaisim-Fountainhead", and within the next 5 years he succeeded in this field winning many honours. Since 1975 his firm worked overseas too, and ventured into other fields like building and construction related to architecture.
In 1970 he got married to Geeta. The couple had one daughter. He also started his professional practice in year 1970, and has been running various student newspapers and organizations since then. He is primarily influenced by the principles of objectivism. He is a fellow of Indian society of lighting engineers, The Indian Institution of Valuers and also United Writer's Association. He served as Convener of the Indian Institute of Architects during the National Convention held at Bangalore.
