Deepa Sashindran Biography 
Deepa Sashindran is a Kuchipudi exponent from Kerala. She is currently based in Bangalore, Karnataka. She is also known as a teacher of Kuchipudi, an art motivator and entrepreneur. Best Kuchipudi Artiste of Karnataka from Yuvaranga, Nritya Shiromani National Award at Cuttack and Sathyabhama Award Sobha Naidu are some of the honours received by her. She is an A-grade artist of Doordarshan. She holds an LLB degree, HR Specialist in Software industry and owns the company Karma Kreators. She has performed in dance festivals in India and abroad, and regularly conducts workshops as well.
Deepa Sashindran is of Kerala origin and she was born in Bangalore in 1974. She is a Law Graduate with PGD in Industrial Relations and Personal Management. She is also an Entrepreneur in Human Capital Management Services. She was initiated to Bharatnayam dance form at the age of 5. For the first three years she learnt under Kalamandalam Usha Datar and Dr.Savithri Ramaiah. At the age of 8, she began her Kuchipudi learning under noted artist and actress Manju Bhargavi. She learnt Kuchipudi for the next three decades from her guru. Currently she is continuing her training under Guru Vempati Ravi Shankar.
Apart from her live performances, she founded Kuchipudi Parampara Foundation in Bangalore to promote the dance forms, especially Kuchipudi. The Foundation is presently offering systematic training, master classes in Bangalore and Kozhikode. It organizes many Kuchipudi dance festivals and presented the first edition of "Divinity in Kuchipudi" series Festival titled Natya Parampara Utsav- 2014 in year 2014. Her performing pictures have been included in the school text books of Karnataka. She also holds the title, Nrithya Vilasini, and a recipient of many honours too.
