Abidali Neemuchwala Biography 
Abidali Neemuchwala, shortly called Abid is a business executive currently associated with Wipro. Currently serving the post of Group President and chief operating officer of India's third largest IT services firm, Wipro since February 2015, he has been announced as the successor of T. K. Kurien, the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Wipro. Kurien has been serving the post for a term of 5 years since 2011 and Abidali Neemuchwala has been named as the CEO of Wipro, with effect from 2016 February 1st. One of the biggest assets of Wipro, Abidali Neemuchwala combines deep operational knowledge with broad strategic insight and his track record of building and scaling businesses. He has been associated with TCS for long 28 years before he joined Wipro. He is 49 year old right now as on January 2016.
Neemuch, or Nimach is a small town in the border of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and Abidali belongs to this town. It is also the birthplace of C P Gurnani, the chief executive of Tech Mahindra. Bearing the name of a town, he was brought up in Mumbai and Gujarat and he has been a resident of Dallas in US for the past several years. He completed his master's degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and soon after studies, he joined TCS. It was a big surprise to everyone when he left TCS after long 28 years to join Wipro. He was addressed as Abid in TCS.
Since 2001 he was a part of the executive strategy team at TCS that is focused on globalization and delivery excellence and in 2007 he was asked to head the company's global delivery and services for North America. While joining Wipro, he headed the service lines of global infrastructure services, business application services, business process services and advanced technology solutions. He also headed the business operations for Continental Europe, Africa and Latin America. He was awarded the BPO CEO of the Year 2010. He is married and his family is settled in Dallas with three kids.
