James Allen - A Great Philosoper

 

James Allen was a great philosophical writer. He wrote several inspirational books and poetries. He was born in Leicestor, England on 28th November, 1864. He was born into a working-class family. He was the elder son in his family. He had two younger brothers. His father was a factory knitter in a textile factory. In 1879, there was a downturn in the textile industry. Alan father did not get any work. So he decided to go to the America for finding the job. He wanted to establish a new home to their family, in America after getting the job. But God desires were different. Within two days of his father arrived, he got the bad news, that was his father dead at New York City hospital. He was killed by the thieves who stole the things. His family faced economic ruin after his father's death. Alan had forced to leave school. The situation was forced to find work. In 1890, he worked as a private secretary in manufacturing firms. 

 

In 1893, he moved to London where he met his life partner. Her name was Lily Louisa Oram. Their marriage took place in 1895. In 1898, he had the opportunity to write in the magazine 'The Herald of the Golden age'. He then published his first book in 1901. The name of the book is 'From poverty to power'. This period was a creative period for him. In 1902, he published his spiritual magazine. The magazine name is 'The light of reason'. He then re titled it as 'Epoch'. 

 

In 1903, he published his third book. The book earned him the great reputation. The famous book name is 'As a man a Thinketh'. He then left his secretary job, and pursued the career as a writer. In 1903, Alan family settled down in llfracombe where he spends his rest of life. He wrote two books per year. He wrote 19 books in 9 years. 

 

After his death, his wife continued publishing the magazine named 'The Epoch'. He never wrote any theories. He never writes for the sake of writing. He used to write only when he got any messages in his heart. He had lived it out in his own life. He wrote many facts, which was proven in practice.
