Many people love to see Isha Sharvani as an Indian contemporary dancer as well as an actress. Though she is known for the movie Kisna, she is most popular for her risky dance steps. She was seen opposite Vivek Oberoi in Kisna, a few years back. Only a few people knows that she lives by the lakeside of Velliyani of capital city Thiruvananthapuram busy with her stage shows and that she has dedicated her full time for dance and its specialization. After the debut in Bollywood with dangerous dance steps in Kisna in 2005, she took a break from Bollywood. She did only a few movies there. Though she stays in Kerala from her childhood, it took almost 8 years since Kisna story to do a movie in Malayalam.

She debuts Malayalam with Anju Sundarikal (5 beauties), a collection of 5 short films directed by 5 directors – Anwar Rasheed, Sameer Thahil, Aashiq babu, Amal Neerad and Shyji Khalid. In this collection of 5 stories of 5 women, she did the role of Esha, directed by Sameer Thahir. The movie will be released on 20^th June, thus marking a new beginning of Malayalam movies as well as Isha’s career as a Bollywood actress. Thattathin Marathu fame Navin Pauley is casted opposite her and her short story is about two strangers who meet at a bus stop.

Isha Shervani was born in Gujarat. As her artist parents were busy with their work, she spent her early childhood along with her 6 cousin sisters and grandmother in their traditional home. Later she was shifted to the capital city of Kerala, where her parents were working. She began to assist her mother in stage shows which changed her life a lot. As she felt that she is an artist from early age, she felt that higher studies is of less significance to her. Hence she completed her higher secondary studies only, before she started her career through contemporary dance stage shows. She gives greater importance to practise and thinks that one should practise up to 8 hours a day.

Her father is a great fan of movies that brought interest in her too. Though dance and acting are two distinct styles of performing acts, dance needs expression of body parts while acting needs expressions of face. But in both cases, one person changes to another character. That’s what Isha thinks. Now she has stepped into Malayalam movies. Let us see if she can prove herself to be a talented actress, apart from a versatile dancer.
