Most recently, a young actress Jiah Khan was found hanged in her apartment. Now also, Bollywood has not got over the shock. It became a great pain to each and every person associated with Bollywood when they heard about the unfortunate death of this young actress who was just 25 years old. Bollywood has witnessed such shocking news many times before also.

First name that comes to my mind is none other than the most versatile film maker India has ever seen. Guru Dutt was found in his apartment dead at an age of just 39. He already had two lost suicide attempts and news confirmed that his death occurred due to heavy dose of sleeping pills along with alcohol he served.

Now, the second name I remember is Parveen Babi – the most sought actress of Bollywood during 70’s and 80’s who has done many super duper hits along with Amitabh Bachchan. The most tragic part is that police noticed it only after 3 days of death, where she was living alone.

Now let me mention the name of the hero of the movie Dil hi dil mein, the movie dubbed from Tamil superhit Kaathalar Dinam. His name is Kunal Singh. He was found dead hanging in his apartment in the year 2008. Same is the case of sex siren of south ‘Silk Smita’, who left away with her life when she was falling from her position in movies.

Now a question has been asked several times. Why such unhappy incidents are happening in Bollywood? Is money and popularity more significant than one’s life? Were these people depressed? Do they give extra importance to success, popularity and glamour? It’s true, a person needs a lot of patience and hard work to reach success and highest position in the field of glamour and fame, short cuts may not provide permanent footsteps. If we closely watch the story of each and every successful celebrity of Bollywood, we can see a lot of ups and downs in their life where they have carried away nicely. Also another important thing to note is that, it’s not because of unsuccessful career that Guru Dutt committed suicide. He was the greatest producer and director that time, with only one exception ‘Kaagaz ke phool’ though it’s a critically well acclaimed movie. It’s due to his unhappy relationship with his wife that prompted him to drinking and suicide attempts made 3 times. Such speculations are being made with Jiah Khan too; she was dating with Aditya Pancholi’s son that time. What’s the truth behind her death? Let us wait and see.
