Description

Arignar Anna Zoological Park is situated at Vandalur which is 32 Km away from the metropolitan city of Chennai on the GST Road. It is the largest Zoological garden in India. This zoo has more than 170 species of mammals and birds. The Zoo's timing is 9.00 am to 8.00 pm all days except Tuesdays. The zoo is closed on Tuesday. The objective of Arignar Anna Zoological Park is to provide opportunity for conduct of scientific studies on the fauna to enhance our knowledge of animal behaviour, its biology, ecology etc.
