OotyWestern Catchment is a very beautiful spot in Ooty which is protected by the Forest Department as the reserve area. So, special permission is needed to enter the region. The rolling grasslands, the lush green carpet of vegetation and the meandering streams make this a wonderful place. The Avalanche lake is visible beautifully from this region.
