Upper Bhavani is a perfect place for hiking and trekking. There is a beautiful lake in Upper Bhavani and has water all round the year. There is a big dam built across the lake and a hydro-electric power station is also in operation here.

The region is rich in wildlife such as tigers, jackals, jungle cats, wild dogs, sambhar, giant squirrels, leopards and Nilgiri langurs.
