Sim’s Park is located at an altitude of 1780 meters above sea level and the temperature of the region ranges from 5 degree Celsius to 30 degree Celsius. This park was established in the year 1874 and this spreads over an area of 12.12 hectares. It was named after J.D. Sim, the former secretary of Madras Club.

There are more than 1000 species of plants grown here and houses some rare varieties like eucalyptus, acacia, pinus, cinnamon, etc. The garden contains beautiful terrace, lawns, flowerbeds and rockeries. The exotic varieties of plants such as rudraksh, quercus, phoenix and camellia are found in the park. It also has a glass house within.

The flower show, fruit show and the vegetable show are conducted every year during the summer season. The map of the world made by the plants is very popular.
