In the Gurgaon district of Haryana, lies the town of Manesar, one of the fastest developing industrial towns of Haryana. The emerald green environs, its location on a hilltop, its modernisation boom, its few but beautiful tourist spots makes Manesar an ideal location for a family weekend. The place has a number of offices, head offices, business complexes, training centres and factories. It is basically the working place of a large number of people. Some refer Manesar as ‘New Gurgaon’. It is also referred to as the National Capital Region. Initially it was but, a small town with not more than 1000 dwellings; however, at the beginning of the nineties it started developing at the faster rate. The sightseeing places in Manesar overlaps with Gurgaon.

Some prime sightseeing places in Manesar are Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Mata Sheetala Devi Temple, Sohna, Damdama Lake, Sheikh Musa’s Tomb, Palace of Nawab Pataudi and the Manesar village. A distinctive feature of Manesar is the residential complexes. Each residential complex is endowed with all basic requirements ranging from shopping centers, all types of departmental stores, gyms, swimming pools, health centers, beauty parlour, recreational centers etc. The unofficial mall of the town is also an added attraction. The Mata Sheetala Devi Temple with an ambience worth savouring is also a great stopover. You will be well informed about the local culture and heritage. A large number of devotees are seen flocking to this temple while on their visit to Manesar. The hot water springs at Sohna, located on the outskirts of Manesar is also a great tourist spot. The water of this spring is said to have medicinal value benefitting the people in great measures. The tomb of Sheikh Musa which portrays a blend of Muslim and Rajput architecture is also an additional place of tourist attractions. The tomb is famous for its shaking minarets and the red sandstone masonry tank.

Another great tourist spot is the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, which is home to a manifold birds; both migratory and local. For all bird enthusiasts it a great place to observe the birds at their natural habitat. The Damdama Lake is also a great tourist spot, with additional pleasure like boating. A trip to this place will surely keep you engaged for hours end and with endless fun and excitement.

Well connected with all the major cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Manesar can be easily accessed. Air, road and rail connectivity is good. From Indira Gandhi International Airport, Manesar is approximately 40 minutes.
