Kurinji Andavar Temple is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Muruga. This temple was built by Leelavathi Ramanathan in 1936 who was born as a European and was later converted to Hinduism. Kurinji means the region of hills and Andavar means God in Tamil language and so the deity here is considered as the God of Hill. Kurinji Temple is associated with the Kurinji flowers that blossoms once in 12 years on the hill sides. From this temple you can have the panoramic view of Palani and Vaigai Dam.
