Coaker's Walk is a narrow pedestrian path that was constructed in 1872 by Lt. Coaker. This winding pathway starts near Van Alleh Hospital and joins the main road near St. Peter’s Church. You can relish the interesting sights from here down the valley. You can see Dolphin’s nose in the southern side, valley of Pambar River in the southeast and can have the bird’s eye view of Periyakulam and Madurai.

When you have mist in your front sometimes you might be able to see your shadow in the clouds with a rainbow halo and this effect is called Brachem Spectre. Many roadside stalls are found on the way and there is also an observatory with telescope halfway through.
