Ram Bagh Palace served as the residence of the Jaipur Maharajas. It is located in an area of 47 acres. This has been converted into the luxury hotel of Taj Groups. Originally it was the garden house built in 1835 for the wet nurse of prince Ram Singh II. In 1887, Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh changed this into a royal hunting residence. Sawai Man Singh II made Rambagh his residence. In the first half of 20th century many royal suites were added to it. It was converted into a luxury hotel in 1957.
