Nahargarh Fort (Tiger Fort) in Jaipur

Nahargarh Fort was built by Maharaja Jai Sawai Singh in 1734. This is located on the Aravalli range and from here you can have the fantastic view of the city. Nahargarh means the Abode of Tigers. Hence this fort is also called the Tiger Fort. Many additions were done to this fort by the descendants of Jai Sawai Singh in 19th century.
There are many buildings situated within the fort and among them the notable building is Madhavendra Bhawan which was built by Sawai Ram Singh II. This building has colorful corridors and hallways. From this fort, the Man Sagar Lake and its suburbs are visible. The ancient buildings in the fort are in ruins but the later additions are still glamorous. There are cafeterias in the fort and you can refresh during the travel.
